Just outside of St Tropez, Villa Tropez offers luxury accommodation with a rustic back-to-the-earth feel, and all the facilities one would expect in a jet-set destination. Nestled among rolling hills of vineyards, olive and oak trees, Villa Tropez offers relaxed luxury and privacy within one acre of lush gardens. The villa’s elevated position provides panoramic views of the valley of St Tropez. The stone-paved terraces dotted with sun-loungers, and beautifully designed pool-house with ornate tiled wet bar and shaded pool-side lounge seating, conjure up the atmosphere of a Côte d’Azur beach club. Inside, there are designer interiors, high timber-trussed ceilings, cool natural stone floors and spacious open-plan living areas that capture the views and fresh sea air.
Your daily yoga practice will gently move the body mindfully through a series of poses. Classes include physical postures, breath work and meditation. The focus is on connecting body, breath and mind to bring the individual a sense of togetherness, calm and present-moment awareness, while moving the body in gentle exercise to enjoy the associated health benefits. Morning classes are more energising to wake body and mind, and afternoon classes more restorative with a focus on relaxation to help you relax, reduce stress and reconnect. There is a strong emphasis on the breath to both calm the nervous system and focus the mind, as well as on the senses to promote present-moment awareness.
Based on Hatha yoga, classes follow the Viniyoga tradition, which means adapting to meet to the needs of the students. Age, size and ability are irrelevant as the classes, with never more than 12 students, vary in content, pace and dynamism according to the ability and requirements of the individuals.
With classes held in the yoga pavilion or beside the pool, practising within the beauty of Villa Tropez is to experience something really special.
Meeting in our outdoor classroom under the wisteria clad arbor, by the old olive tree, you will learn of naturopathic and Mediterranean health principles.
